Race Report | Le Mans | 2026
Team Oliver Racing enjoyed a memorable and highly competitive weekend at the legendary Le Mans circuit, as the British Truck Racing Championship travelled to France for the next round. With the British, European and French championships all coming together on the same circuit, the event provided a unique opportunity for the spectators to watch the very best truck racing competitors from across Europe.

With four races across the weekend, there were podiums, hard-fought battles, mechanical challenges and plenty of action, with both Stuart and Michael Oliver showing strong pace throughout.
The weekend got off to an encouraging start in the opening qualifying session, with both Team Oliver Racing trucks immediately showing competitive pace. Stuart Oliver secured P5,with Michael Oliver close behind in P6, putting both drivers on the third row of the grid for Race One.

Race One
Both Stuart and Michael made excellent starts when the lights went out, quickly moving themselves into strong positions in a competitive opening race. The two Team Oliver Racing trucks remained closely matched throughout the race, battling hard among the front runners and demonstrating the pace required to compete at the sharp end of the international field. Stuart initially crossed the line in P4, with Michael just behind in P5.
Following a subsequent result amendment, Stuart was elevated to P3, giving Team Oliver Racing its first trophy of the weekend .Michael's fifth-place finish completed a strong opening race for the team and provided plenty of encouragement for the races ahead.

Race Two
Both drivers were once again starting from the third row for Race Two, but the second contest of the day was destined to be a much more dramatic affair. The action began immediately, with Michael making a superb start and fighting his way into the lead, while Stuart tucked in behind him in P2.The Team Oliver Racing trucks were therefore running first and second before the race was interrupted by a red flag after a stranded truck brought proceedings to a halt.
Following the restart, Michael once again got away strongly and immediately put himself at the front of the field. He controlled the situation brilliantly to secure victory and a place on the famous Le Mans podium, providing a fantastic highlight for the team and a memorable moment for Michael.
For Stuart, the restart presented a very different challenge. Mechanical issues with his truck meant he had to take the restart from the back of the grid. Despite the setback, he produced an impressive recovery drive, fighting his way through the field to finish P6.

Sunday began with Qualifying 2, and once again Team Oliver Racing showed its strength. Michael produced an outstanding performance to take pole position, while Stuart secured P4, putting both trucks in excellent starting positions for the day's two races.
Race Three
Michael started Race Three from pole position, with Stuart lining up on the second row in P4.The opening laps were hectic, with the front of the field immediately engaged in close competition. Unfortunately, Michael was caught up in contact early in the race, sustaining damage and dropping down the order. Despite the setback, he refused to give up and continued to fight through the remainder of the race, eventually bringing the damaged truck home in P10.
Stuart, meanwhile, made a fantastic start and quickly established himself among the leading group. He settled into a strong rhythm and produced a composed and competitive drive throughout the race. His efforts were rewarded with an excellent P2 finish, securing another podium for Team Oliver Racing and adding to what was already a highly successful weekend.

Race Four
The final race of the weekend saw Stuart start from P4, while Michael was forced to line up at the back of the grid following a five-place grid penalty. Unfortunately for Stuart, his final race came to a premature end. After running strongly int he early stages, he was forced to retire on Lap 4 with mechanical issues, bringing an unfortunate conclusion to what had otherwise been an excellent weekend for him.
Michael once again demonstrated his fighting spirit. Starting right at the back of the field, he set about picking his way through the competition, producing a determined drive and making up a significant number of positions. His efforts were rewarded with another strong P6 finish, bringing the weekend to a close on a high.
Le Mans provided Team Oliver Racing with a little bit of everything, front-running pace, podium finishes, victory, pole position, intense racing and the inevitable challenges that come with competing at this level. The team leaves Le Mans with podium silverware, a race win, pole position and plenty of memories from a very special weekend of truck racing in France.

A huge thank you goes to the entire Team Oliver Racing team for their hard work and commitment throughout the weekend, and to everyone who continues to support the team.
