Team Oliver Racing Ends 2026 Season with Double Championship Podium at Brands Hatch
Team Oliver Racing brought its 2026 British Truck Racing Championship campaign to a spectacular close at Brands Hatch, with Stuart securing second place in the overall championship and Michael finishing third following a weekend of exciting racing, impressive performances and plenty of drama.
The team arrived at the season finale in a strong position, and qualifying provided the perfect start, with Stuart securing pole position for the opening race and Michael qualifying an excellent fourth.

However, the opening race proved to be a challenging one for both drivers. Stuart's race took an unfortunate turn on the opening lap when he found himself in the gravel at Druids, sustaining damage to his rear wheel. A red flag brought the race to a halt, allowing Stuart to return to the pits, where the team carried out a rapid wheel change to get him back out for the restart.

There was further drama at Druids following the restart, with Michael also caught out at the same corner. Both drivers were forced to fight back from the rear of the field, eventually crossing the line in seventh and eighth respectively. Despite a difficult start, the team showed excellent determination and resilience to get both trucks back into the action.
Race Two brought a much-improved result, particularly for Michael. Starting from the second row, he made an excellent getaway to slot straight into third place and remained firmly in contention throughout. Penalties for other competitors subsequently promoted him to second, securing his first podium finish of the weekend. Stuart, meanwhile, started from row four and worked his way through the midfield to finish seventh.

The third race of the weekend saw the first reverse-grid format, with Stuart starting from pole position and Michael lining up on row seven. Stuart made the most of his starting position, demonstrating excellent pace and controlling the race from the front. Michael produced an impressive drive through the field, gaining several positions before a red flag brought proceedings to a halt with five minutes remaining following a stranded truck.
Following the restart, both drivers made strong starts, with Stuart maintaining his advantage to secure a superb race victory. Michael completed an excellent recovery drive to finish fourth, giving the team another strong result.

Stuart continued his impressive form in Race Four, making another fantastic start from the front row to take the lead and control proceedings throughout. Showing consistent pace, he went on to secure his second victory of the weekend. Michael started from row four and enjoyed another competitive race through the midfield, bringing his truck home in seventh.

The final race of the season provided one last dose of drama. Michael lined up on row three, while Stuart started further back following a five-place grid penalty from an earlier race. An early incident involving several trucks resulted in a red flag, with racing eventually getting back underway following the necessary recovery work.
Michael made an excellent move following the restart to take the lead, but unfortunately his challenge was cut short when he became involved in an on-track collision. The incident allowed Stuart to move up into second place. A further red flag, combined with fading daylight, meant racing could not resume, and the results were declared at the last completed lap. Stuart therefore secured an excellent second-place finish, while damage sustained in the incident unfortunately forced Michael to retire.

Despite the ups and downs of the weekend, the Brands Hatch finale provided a fitting end to what has been an outstanding season for Team Oliver Racing. With two race victories for Stuart, a further podium for Michael and some fantastic performances from both drivers, the team finished the 2026 campaign with an incredible second and third place in the overall championship standings.

Stuart's runner-up position and Michael's third-place finish represent a fantastic achievement for everyone involved with Team Oliver Racing and are a testament to the hard work, commitment and determination shown throughout the season.
Finally, Team Oliver Racing would like to extend its sincere thanks to everyone who has supported the team throughout the 2026 season. To the team members, friends, families, supporters and, of course, its loyal sponsors, your continued support has played a huge part in the team's success.

Two drivers in the championship top three, two race victories at the season finale and another unforgettable year of British Truck Racing. What a way to finish 2026!
