Last season, fans of Team Oliver Racing watched with bated breath as disaster struck during the British Truck Racing Championship at Thruxton. Stuart Oliver, behind the wheel of his iconic Volvo VNL, suffered a major mechanical failure during a practice session. The impact was severe, but fortunately, Stuart walked away from the wreckage battered and bruised, yet miraculously unharmed.

As the dust settled, it became clear that the damage to the beloved Volvo was beyond repair for the remainder of the season. With little time to spare before the next race, Team Oliver Racing rallied together to find a replacement truck. A MAN TGX stepped in as the new #7 race truck, allowing Stuart to finish the season and continue battling on the track.
The Volvo Gets a Major Overhaul
But now, the moment fans have been waiting for has arrived – the Volvo will be back for the 2025 season! Over the winter break, Team Oliver's mechanical team have worked tirelessly, pulling out all the stops to rebuild the damaged Volvo VNL. After months of dedication and hard work, the truck is now getting ready to return to action, with none other than Stuart Oliver behind the wheel.

In his own words, Stuart couldn't be more excited:
"I’m extremely pleased to get back on track with my faithful Volvo! It’s a great-looking truck and a firm favourite, not just with me but with the fans too. I can’t thank the team enough for their hard work with the major rebuild that was required."

The MAN TGX Lives On
The story doesn’t end there, though. The MAN TGX, which served as a replacement last season, will not go to waste. In fact, it will continue to race in the 2025 season under the hands of Martin Gibson, who is making his return to Team Oliver Racing. The MAN TGX will now be known as #101, and with the iconic Volvo VNL back on track, fans can look forward to a thrilling season with a trilogy of trucks flying the Team Oliver banner.
